Park Victorian was the perfect setting for this styled session. The elements that came together for this shoot created a style mood that felt a little bit like a historical novel to me, and kind of haunted and wistful. Oh how I love that.
The look:
I was inspired by the rich berries and quiet beiges that Hannah of Farmer Hands used in her floral designs, and their softness in contrast with the black lace linens of Rebecca's tablescapes. The Halina romper gown is a bit of a contrast with its lacy, demure full coverage front, and a sexy flash of bare leg, so I knew I had to showcase our model's skin. It was important to me that some bareness and freckles show through, and I wanted to contrast it a little with a matte, smoky berry eye. With bridal work, I find it a little tricky sometimes to create a look that features a stronger eye look, while keeping the skin looking "naked', so it was extra fun to create this look on such a beauty with an already gorgeous canvas. Carmen captured it all so beautifully, don't you think?
Oh! And a little later on in our shoot I took this look up a notch for our next gown...so be sure to come back around for part two.
