When I met Niki many years ago, she told me then..."If I ever get married I want YOU to do my makeup!"
Niki and I met in 2000 while working for Nordstrom. We were both college students working at the MAC counter, and bonded instantly over our love of art, travel and BBC programming! (We once spent two days in our pajamas eating chocolate and watching Pride and Prejudice at her apartment!)
Both hopeless romantics, we used to polish the glass on the counter each night dreaming about our future husbands. We would wash our brushes in the Beauty Room in the cosmetics department lamenting over our current love lives. We would encourage each other and listen to each others' dreams while filling the cases with eyeshadows and stocking the Lipglass drawer.
Niki finished college and moved to San Francisco. I decided to skip the rest of college and start a bridal beauty business...and unfortunately, as time and life will do, Niki and I drifted apart.
On a visit to the city a few years later, I called Niki to meet up for dinner. Right when I saw her, (she was all aglow) I KNEW her romance woes were over! A wonderful man named Matt and his chocolate lab had come into Niki's life, and rocked her (and HER chocolate lab's!) little world.
This foursome were a true match made in heaven, from the dog park to eventually down the aisle.
When I got the call from Niki with her and Matt's wedding plans, and her request for me to come to San Francisco to do her wedding makeup and join in their celebration, I was honored, and of course, thrilled.

Congratulations Niki and Matt! It was such a joy and honor to be a part of your big day! I truly love seeing Niki so happy, and I love the life that you have found together. I am so excited for your new adventures as husband and wife!
