I recently had the opportunity to work with film photographer Michelle Boyd from Austin Texas for our client's Bridal portrait shoot in Amador County, California.

Set deep in the wine country of the foothills, we caught the last few rays of afternoon light, which I feel lent itself so beautifully to the light, romantic feel of our bride Alexandra's vision, and Michelle's signature airy and ethereal shooting style.
I created a soft, natural look for Alexandra by opting for pale pastels and muted matte taupes that really worked beautifully with her fair skin. I felt that a soft, natural clean beauty look really complimented her gown and crystal studded hairpiece by Anna Cambell, and the gorgeous bouquet that Shannon Cosgrove Rivas of Flourish Designs created for her. I decided on a soft, brushed out wave hair style for our bride to go with her hairpiece, which would also vary a bit from the updo she had planned for her wedding day a few days later.
